The Participation of FM Alessandro Santagati in the Simultaneous Exhibition at Villa Margherita in Ragusa

I am overwhelmed with emotions as I share with you my extraordinary experience of Friday, September 15th, when I had the opportunity to participate in an engaging chess simul at the charming Villa Margherita in the town of Ragusa. I can’t help but express my deep gratitude for the invitation extended by the Accademia Scacchi Ragusa, which meticulously organised this fascinating event.

During this unforgettable simul, I had the privilege of challenging 20 extraordinary players, all possessed by an extraordinary passion for chess. With dedication and commitment, I managed to achieve 16 victories, securing a draw, and 3 losses.

For me, these occasions are not just about chess competition but an extraordinary opportunity to establish deep connections with a diverse group of chess enthusiasts. Here, I’ve shared ideas, experiences, and an overwhelming common passion. The beauty of chess lies in its ability to bring people together, sparking captivating conversations and lasting bonds.

Furthermore, I had the honor and privilege of providing detailed comments and game analysis to the participants, contributing to their growth and learning in the world of chess. The enthusiasm and determination of these players in improving their skills were truly inspiring.
