Preparatory Stage for the Italian Youth Championship: An Unforgettable Experience in Catania

The Italian Youth Championship represents one of the most important challenges for young talents in Italian chess This year, the event will take place in Tarvisio from July 2nd to 9th, 2023. To best prepare the participants for this high-level competition, we organized a two-day stage at the prestigious Sigonella Inn in Catania.

During the stage, I had the honor of leading the course dedicated to the older participants. With my experience and skills in the game of chess, I enthusiastically shared valuable strategic, tactical, and technical advice. However, I wouldn’t have been able to provide such an enriching experience without the collaboration of the other instructors who participated in the stage. I would like to sincerely thank Instructor SimonPietro Spina, who took great dedication in managing the course for the middle age group, and Instructor Mario Santagati, who handled the course for the younger children. Their expertise and passion significantly contributed to the success of the stage.

The stage was an extraordinary experience for all the participants. In addition to deepening their game strategies and technical skills, we created a stimulating and collaborative learning environment with the contribution of all the instructors. The participants had the opportunity to put into practice what they learned through internal tournaments, friendly challenges, and encounters with other talented players. This contributed to their personal growth and the formation of new friendships within the youth chess community.

The preparatory stage for the Italian Youth Championship at the Sigonella Inn in Catania was an unforgettable experience for all the participants. I would like to once again thank Instructors SimonPietro Spina and Mario Santagati for their valuable collaboration and dedication. They were instrumental in making the stage a success and in helping young chess players grow and develop in their chess journey. I am confident that our young players will give their best and represent Sicily with pride in the Italian Youth Championship in Tarvisio.
